Meet Your Attorney
John “Yanni” Christian Bohren
John “Yanni” Christian Bohren is the founder and lead attorney at Yanni Law, a personal injury law firm with offices in Charleston, San Diego, Santa Ana, and Los Angeles, helping people coast to coast who have been injured by the negligence of another in a motor vehicle accident or due to unsafe premises, sexual assault, medical malpractice, and other forms of negligence or wrongful conduct. Read on to get to know a little about Yanni and why he is the lawyer you want in your corner when you’ve been injured by the negligence or misconduct of another.
Background
Yanni grew up as a “military brat” courtesy of the U.S. Navy while his father served his country for over 20 years. Yanni was born in San Diego but landed in Charleston after his father retired. Moving around the world allowed Yanni to experience many different cultures – having a Greek mom helped, too. Growing up, Yanni has always had a deep passion for helping people (and arguing), along with a dream to play professional baseball. Turns out, Yanni was better at arguing than hitting baseballs, so he became a lawyer.
Yanni completed his undergraduate coursework at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, where he competed as a four-year varsity wrestler and served as editor-in-chief of the college publication, The Brigadier. Yanni later earned his Juris Doctorate law degree from the Pettit School of Law at Ohio Northern University.
One Life-Changing Moment
Many years ago, Yanni was injured in a car accident – one sudden moment that changed the trajectory of his life. After years of physical therapy and treatment, Yanni still required surgery to deal with the injury and consequences brought on by that fateful day.
That injury may have led to the loss of Yanni’s military career, but it turned him toward a different path where he uses an otherwise horrific experience to guide him as he works with personal injury victims and helps them get the care and compensation they need. Yanni knows firsthand what it is like to go through the initial shock of being in an accident as well as the difficulty of living in chronic pain and the toll it takes on your life. Tragic as it was, this experience helped him found Yanni Law with a mission to get full and fair justice for his clients with the best representation he can give them.
Committed to the Profession, His Clients, and the Communities He Lives in
With offices coast to coast, Yanni splits his time between the “Holy City,” Charleston, South Carolina, and “America’s Finest City,” San Diego, California. He is an active member of both communities and actively supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Charleston Youth Development, Animal Humane Societies, and Veterans Village of San Diego. Yanni loves dogs, despises the beach, is wholly committed to his Church, and is a proud U.S. Army veteran.
